Sinclair Community College - Building 11 Chiller Replacement

Sinclair Community College buildings 10 and 11 are served from the building 11 chiller plant. This project replaced one, 300 ton chiller with a new 300 ton Magnetic Bearing Centrifugal Chiller. This project had many unique challenges due to the limited height in the campus parking garage for rigging and the condenser side well water system. The chiller was shipped to the project site disassembled and reassembled in the mechanical room.

The project also included upgrading an older, pneumatic DDC control panel with a new digital type. A new coalescing dirt separator was added on the condenser water side to filter well water before entering the chiller heat exchanger.
